Happy Birthday, Linds! You look very warm. I hope you have a fabulous day! I'm so glad I stayed up for the beginning of your birthday. I'll talk to you tomorrow (as the birthday continues).

I am just trying to show off my multi-tasking skills, which are often doubted.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Linds, Alex was wondering if you were wearing makeup in this picture. Is that a new thing now that you're the big 2-7?

I think you may be mistaking the bags under my eyes or the blue glow of the computer screen as makeup?

That would be more of an 80s look, I guess, which I am not averse to (my hair could fit into that too...more with added height and hairspray).

So no, but I will take it as a compliment.

Although I will say that I have been wearing more makeup lately, being that a) I actually bought some of my own and b) it is part of my attempt to appear older, wiser and thus more respected as a teacher...not sure if it's working...especially since I was refused a wristband the other day at a music venue (Slowdown) after giving my very legal driver's license which states that I was 2 days shy of 27. I also correctly stated my sign (Capricorn), but being that I am horrible at dates, when asked "Whey did you get this license?" said that I got it a few months ago (which to me means anytime in the not so recent past) and the license clearly stated that I received it almost a year ago to that date. I guess that's a strong sign that I'm lying and have a fake ID? And if I did have a fake ID why would I not put my own photo on it and why would I have it say that I am 27?

Okay, that was a bit of a tangent/rant. Oh well...as many have told me, "I'll be happy to look much younger than I am when I'm older." Will I really though? That seems kind of depressing in a way.

Haha, Linds. I just saw your comment. I have not gotten into makeup yet mystelf, but maybe I should. What makeup did you buy? I can relate to looking young. I was on a plane last year and someone asked me what school I went to thinking I was in high school. Pretty bad. I bet you get a lot of respect from your students because you look totally cool and young and you've already accomplished so much. I'm still really suprised you didn't pass for 21. Were you wearing your makeup? If I had been there with you, I would have made sure you got the wristband.
