SNL

SNL is slated to return next week with Tina Fey as host. The following Saturday Ellen Page is scheduled to host. I'm pretty excited for both of those. They're also hoping to do like 4 or 5 new ones in a row, instead of the usual 3 then break schedule that they're on. They've got to keep up with the political stuff, I guess, and make up for lost time.

Sweet. I'm pretty excited to see both Tina Fey and Ellen Page host. Too bad Michael Cera couldn't host an actual show, not just the one he did live during the strike.

I agree. Maybe Michael Cera will pop up in Ellen Page's episode. I could see them doing that.

Nice!!! If anyone hasn't heard yet, Ellen Page is also going to be on Barbara Walters pre-Oscar show. She deserves the recognition & I wish she'd win best actress but usually the young ones don't...I guess they figure they'll have more chances in the future. Come on, it was the best performance of the year, regardless of her age!

Counting down for all of this! Patrick, i do think the Academy seems to like giving the Oscar to their new young "it" girl of the year, and though I do think Ellen Page is a great promising new talent, the best performance of the year for me was Julie Christie! I can't even imagine the preparation to prepare to play a role of a woman who is losing and eventually loses her memory of her life, her loves, her very self , how to portray that in your facial expression and body motions and all of it, as she does even in the way she would cross through the snow on the skis. Phenomenal.
