A-caucusing

Well, the caucus lived up to my hopes...and more. There were so many people! There had to be over a thousand at our location, and it was just 1 out of 12 district locations. Crazy. As a fellow caucuser noted, "I never knew there were so many Democrats in Nebraska." Others echoed similar sentiments: "We're the only ones in our neighborhood...I can't talk about it to people at work..." and so on. So, the Nebraska Democrats definitely came out of hiding today - in record numbers.

Photos and videos of the caucus to come.

That's very cool you went, it's nice & very rare to actually have 2 good candidates to choose from. Kate Walsh was on Letterman last night & talked about going to the Las Vegas caucus. She really enjoyed it but kind of laughed about the fact they had never done it before so she said at times it resembled choosing up sides for a dodgeball game. She is for Obama & the other funny thing is she would hear another Obama voter say I gotta go, my car is going to be towed...so she'd tell them she'd go out & talk to the tow truck driver to explain & give them more time...need every head we can get!

I'm tired of being anonymous so I am now Patrick. That's funny that there are so many "closet democrats" in Nebraska but it's great the numbers that turned out.

Yeah, it was pretty packed with people of all ages...though I was definitely on the younger side.

The dodgeball reference is pretty applicable. How crazy would it be if they actually went with that concept? And then the last person standing would get to vote. That would definitely make it more heated.
